Job Title: Sales Manager, Laboratory Disposable Supplies

Description:Our client is an international manufacturer and distributor of laboratory medical devices, consumables and instrumentation for clinical and research applications. We are currently seeking a Sales Manager whose main responsibilities include enhancing sales growth and managing in-house and remote sales professionals. Duties include working and traveling with Regional Managers and Account Managers in their territories as well as some customer responsibilities.
Among other responsibilities, this manager should be able to effectively direct Regional Managers in their assigned region by setting goals, tracking performance and assigning sales directives. Additionally, they will assist the Regional Managers in maintaining and enhancing relationships with current customers while expanding relationships with potential clients.
The Sales Manager will also:
Generate business development and growth opportunities by establishing a pipeline with the assigned Regional Account Managers.
Strategize with the Regional Managers to expand and enhance existing and potential business.
Maintain and support assigned Key Accounts in the territory.
Be responsible for achieving the company’s sales and performance goals as determined by management.
Promote and support Regional Managers’ efficient use of resources to maximize growth potential.
Provide reports and analyses to management as required.
Base Salary: $120,000 plus commission potential up to $30K
Territory: Relocation assistance available – Position is based near Charlotte, NC, the territory area covers the Northeast and part of the Midwest.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of two to five years’ experience in Sales management required
Minimum of 8-10 years’ supervisory/sales management experience required.
Previous experience in a life science / research / medical setting with knowledge of laboratory and/or diagnostic products and requirements preferred.
Approximately 70% travel.

Effective organizational, analytical and communication skills needed with the ability to work independently on a continuous basis.
Travel/Sales Territory: 70% Travel, Company vehicle
